TRAIN lines have re-opened following signalling problems this morning.

Commuters faced delays of up to one hour during the morning rush hour on trains travelling from Reading to Newbury and Reading to Basingstoke, but First Great Western spokesman James Davis confirmed that the lines were up and running again at 10am.

He said: "Following a problem with signalling equipment at Theale all lines have now re-opened.

"The disruption has now ended and services are no longer affected..

"First Great Western apologises to passengers for any inconvenience caused."
